BIRTHDAY!

Apologies for the lack of blog posts recently. It’s been a bit manic here, and I just wasn’t able to find time to actually sit down and blog…But anyway I’m posting now, which is all that matters!

So yesterday, I left the teenage years of my life behind and turned 20! AAHHH! And, in keeping with this, I thought I would do a post on what I got for my birthday. I had an amazing day, and was spoilt rotten by family and friends, and like every year, I realised how lucky and blessed I am to have such wonderful people around me! I won’t go into detail about little presents that I got, which have personal meaning to me, but will talk about some of my presents which I think you’ll all like. 

Watch – Michael Kors

I was so shocked when I opened up one of my presents to see a Michael Kors box! And inside was even more of a surprise…Inside was a beautiful, crystal outlined, silver watch. I wasn’t really a fan of large, statement watches until recently when I just was won over by the Michael Kors collection of watches. I originally had looked at large watches and thought they were too masculine for me, however this watch doesn’t feel like that at all. I know Michael Kors watches are very popular, but I have completely fallen in love with this thing of beauty and now understand why they are! And with the added bit of sparkle I can’t help but not take my eyes off it! 

Real technique – Make up brushes

Everyone I asked seem to swear by these makeup brushes and I am so grateful that I now own some so I can try them out and I can see what all the fuss is about! On first impressions, the brushes feel soft and look great. I got given the travel set, so they’re smaller than the full size ones, but are going to be great to try on my trip down south next week! The set consists of a pointed foundation brush, detailer brush, contour brush and buffing brush. Can’t wait to use these! 

Perfume – Chanel

I had longed for a Chanel perfume for as long as I could remember! As soon as I glanced upon the beautiful black and white gift bag I knew I was in for a real treat and my waiting was over. I was given the Chanel Chance Eau de Toilette, and it smells amazing! The scent is so distinctive to Chanel as well as being wonderfully fresh! The perfume is a mix between floral and spice and feels youthful as well as being long lasting! Love it!

Mug – Emma Bridgewater

I love Tea, but in the morning I’m never able to finish a cup before I head off to lectures. So, with this in mind, the smaller Emma Bridgewater mugs seemed perfect for my tea needs! And it’s personalised which is a really  nice touch! I adore the Emma Bridgewater collection, I’m forever eyeing up new mugs to add to my collection and I’m so glad I can now add this cute little mug! 

Shirt – Abercrombie

My Abercrombie shirt was another present which took me by surprise! I was so excited and shocked when I opened this. I haven’t looked at the Abercrombie collection in a while, but I’ve obviously been missing out! This lovely pale blue check shirt, is a perfect item for summer. With a thin pink stripe running through the pattern, this shirt is feminine, pretty and the perfect layer to wear on a evening stroll on the beach. Perfect for my up and coming trip to Cornwall in a few weeks!
